rain falls
sweetly gracing all of me
with its presence.
it consumes me
running down my throat
flowing over my tightly closed eyes.
each drop runs its own path
a reminder of tears past cried.
a withering heart
gives in to a beaten soul.
life changes
with every breath.
removed from myself.
in front of a mirror,
i have to look away.
i cant imagine what you must see.
how do you look at me with love in your eyes?
and sweet words you say directed at me?
i never meant things to be this way.
